In Ella Fields' Amid Clouds & Bones, halfling princess Mildred, who became betrothed to the Seelie Prince, Atakan, had to figure out how to navigate a marriage neither of them wanted with a male who was notorious for his ruthless cruelty. Atakan, only a few years older, spent most of their forced interactions playing mean tricks on her and reminding her how much he loathes her.

I couldn't put this book DOWN! Unfortunately, I did have to periodically, as work got in the way of my needs. Leena Kazak's Between Tides & Thunder was a high fantasy that took place in a world where status was based on whether you were born with the ability to wield magic or not. With two of the three ruling kingdoms warring, the two decided to strike a treaty in an effort to defeat their common enemy — the rebels.

It's been a minute since I sat down with my Kindle and didn't let go till my eyes were drooping. In a world where rune magic rules everything, a thief with the unnatural gift of breaking them is sentenced to death. And the executioner? He's her mate, and she just broke the rune enslaving him to his role.

I found Of the Stars & Sea to be a diamond in a haystack. It was a refreshing fantasy read, as it deviated from the fae hype and delved into the world of pirates and treasure hunting. I loved the romance and banter! I was kicking my feet at times.

Today I finished rereading The Ever King by L.J. Andrews, so I could focus on reading The Deathless One by Emma Hamm. Both are great romantasy novels, although The Deathless One has me rooted. I’m a sucker for a love story featuring the God of Death, in any lore/form.

Heavenly Bodies was a pleasure to read. Have you ever felt honored to read a book? Cause that’s how I felt reading it. It’s a story that sticks with you, it buries itself deep in your soul, and heals something within you.

Briar Boleyn’s On Wings of Blood was a decadent read that grabbed me by the ear and dragged me through the plotline’s turmoil, skipping and giggling, before it booted me onto my ass as I frantically scrambled to purchase the sequel. It's filled with jealous, possessive vampires, banter, combat & conflict, and a world so twisted, you’ll question how any character can find happiness.

The Wolf King was an enjoyable and spicy read filled with jaw-dropping banter, an immersive castle setting, and a romance that had me holding my breath and sighing dreamily. ACOTAR meets Blood & Chocolate.

This week I am reading To Snap A Silver Stem by Sarah A. Parker. It’s the sequel to her dark Rapunzel retelling, To Bleed A Crystal Bloom, which reminded me a lot of the Plated Prisoner Series by Raven Kennedy. I’m enjoying it so far, not the most immersive read, but good.

Crown of Light & Shadows was captivating. Every chapter was filled with angst, lore, and an academic vibe I can only attribute to Hogwarts. It’s a little lighter than Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, but it scratches that itch for more than it leaves behind.
